Well, today wraps up a wonderful week of serving in the Dominican Republic with the GIVE medical and construction team! Many bonds were formed both within the team as well as with the community and we thank the Proinfancia team as well as Pastor David and Anna for hosting us!
This week, our team was able to serve alongside a number of Dominican doctors and treated 570 patients, performed dozens of medical home visits, completed a roof on the community Center, provided over 300 meals for the community, 75 backpacks with gifts and school supplies to a local school and distributed 200 Days for Girls hygiene kits along with the health and nutrition teaching to the community.
We were honoured to work alongside a great team of local volunteers who are passionate about serving in their own country and excited to see the positive impact that is continuing to be made even after we leave!
