Since 2018, Norma Barber and Amanda Hentges have dedicated passion and effort to the development of the Proinfancia Days For Girls project in the Dominican Republic. Together they are working tirelessly to sow a legacy of better Menstrual Health in the DR and throughout the world. Their commitment and dedication has resulted in thousands of girls and women to have access to menstrual health education, and receiving access to reusable menstrual care kits. By empowering them, the young ladies are able to stay in school, taboos around menstruation are eliminated, and the teen pregnancy epidemic is stopped.
Norma and Amanda seek to inspire others. To leverage their efforts, they also pursue the ideal of being a catalyst between charitable endeavours and philanthropic funders to further their wider goals of supporting Economic Development, Volunteer Leadership Development and Self Sufficiency.
Hungry For Life and Inspired By Vision are working together with Proinfancia to reach the goal of producing and distributing 250,000 kits by 2027.
