Beach Corner Evangelical Free Church

A team from Beach Corner Evangelical Free Church returned to work alongside their partners in Cusco, Peru. This team helped host a pastoral conference at the ATEK facility in Cusco, worked alongside the staff in serving children in remote communities and deepened the relationship between Beach Corner and ATEK.

The partnership with ATEK is one that is near and dear to the heart of the church.

On August 1st, Beach Corner returned to Cusco, Peru with a team of nine. Beach Corner Church joined together in ministry with ATEK, a Peruvian-based organization, having conducted eight missions’ trips to Peru since 2008. Developed relationships with 2 new communities by providing 2 days of kids camps involving games, crafts, drama and teaching on health practices Enabled teaching and discipline by providing support and assistance for a Women’s Conference while caring for 30 children, preparing meals and sharing a daily devotiona Provided a fresh coat of paint to make the ATEK building a more welcoming place to host conferences/training seminars.

A team of 8 people from Beach Corner Church in Stoney Plain, Alberta traveled to Cusco, Peru for a two week period to continue to foster relationships between the local Quechua community and Beach Corner. This was the second team sent to Peru from Beach Corner in just 3 months.

Part of the team traveled to different villages to provide teaching and preaching training to the indigenous church leaders. The other team members worked with our partner ATEK, doing construction on a building that will be used for housing leaders from communities when they come for leadership training.

A team of 12 people from Beach Corner Church in Stoney Plain, Alberta traveled to Cusco, Peru for a two week period. The purpose of the trip was to come alongside the Sunday School leaders in assisting and teaching in children & youth camps in 2 different villages: Capacmarca and Huanoquite. The team also helped ATEK with construction on their office building, including a section that will be used for housing leaders from communities when they come for leadership training.

"What impacted me the most was how giving the people were."  

A team of 5 from Beach Corner Church, led by Pastor Bill Meier, traveled to Cusco & Huanca Huanca, Peru to build relationship alongside our partners at ATEK. The team assisted with the center for operations construction project that was already under way. The team also headed out to Huancan Huanca to join ATEK in training seminars and to work on the church construction project there. They also had the opportunity to observe the agriculture project that they have funded and see the benefits that project is bringing to the community.
