Silas Owiti Oduor grew up in a small village in Kenya called Yogo in the Siaya District. He was raised by Godly parents who pastored in the region. Silas’s personal relationship with Christ began in 1997. As a young man, Silas spent several years living in Canada during which time he graduated from university in Ottawa in with a BSC in Microbiology. After university, Silas felt the Lord calling him back to Kenya where he began to build the Christ Glory Centre Ministry.
Christ Glory Centre Ministry is currently composed of two primary schools offering a solid education, each of which have a large enrollment of area students who cannot afford public education. Agriculture and animal husbandry projects help to support the primary schools with the help of staff and parent volunteers. These primary schools are where Hungry For Life has been focusing their engagement with Glory Centre Ministries.
Land has recently been purchased to bring to life the future vision of a secondary school where the students who have graduated from the excellent primary programs can continue their schooling.
The Glory Centre Ministry also includes; a clean water project (funded by HFL supporters), relief to widowed families, and a dozen community based church congregations.
Everything is anchored on the unwavering, unshakable word of God, and the church is the foundation through which God will accomplish His work.
