Today was a full day getting acquainted with Pastor Victor and his family, seeing the church and the school that were built by previous teams. Such a beautiful facility!
To start the day we were welcomed into pastor Victor’s church, where we met all the children. We then went by each class room and introduced ourselves to all the kids. Everyone was very friendly and excited to see us. They greeted us with a hug line and handwritten notes. Laughter, music and joy were spread through the school.
The kids were delightful, the genuine smiles when they met us show God’s love is present in their lives. The younger children were ecstatic to see us and even started an impromptu dance party! The older kids asked thoughtful questions and used the opportunity to practise their English skills as we got to know each other.
To finish the day we got to see the church we would be helping to restore and expand, and even got to witness the signing ceremony as the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Guatemala received possession of the property!
Coming back to San Raymundo we were once again treated to Pastor Victor and his family’s generous loving hospitality for supper. Such a beautiful first day, Praise God!
