Heading
In the morning we headed to Chivoc to work on the church construction. Today we poured concrete into the foundation that we had previously built and continued the work of digging the trench.
After lunch, we split into two groups. One to continue construction and the other group was the fun one… VBS with the kiddos. We started off with a game of lions and hyenas. Next was craft-time with either origami or pom-pom shooters. Then we had a time of singing which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. There was lots of laughter and smiles from the 70 kids that came.
Later in the afternoon the team walked to a grocery store to buy snacks and drinks. On the way, an elderly woman saw us and loudly exclaimed “!Mucho gringos!” We had a good laugh and carried on to the store where we indulged in copious amounts of water guns and chips.
Then we went for dinner at a friend of Pastor Victors and enjoyed a lovely evening of food and laughter. We ended the night with a bang….a big bang with lots of fireworks. Another wonderful day!
