Sports Day!

This morning we woke up early to prepare for the Sports Day we organized for the kids in the surrounding area. The sports we played were soccer, four corner soccer, gaga ball and dodgeball. Once all the kiddos got a chance to try out each game, we played a soccer game with everyone with Canada against Guatemala. It was no surprise to anyone that Canada lost. Something everyone found funny today was when one little boy took control of the microphone and gave commentary during the games.

After the Sports Day activities, we headed back to pastor Victor’s house. There, the team played uno and spoons. Afterwards, the team headed out to deliver food hampers. We weren’t in a broken bus, but we got to ride in the bed of trucks and sing Disney hits. Some chose to stand and recreate the titanic. Delivering the food hampers was really touching to the team and the highlight of a lot of people’s day.

After the church service, we came back to the house and were blessed with a lesson from the family on how to make tortillas! It was a lot of fun to figure out what worked best and smile with Pastor Victor when we messed up and dropped it on the floor. We ended the night with fireworks and a birthday celebration for Victor Junior!

PS - Maddy says happy birthday, Mom!!
