Today was filled with heartfelt moments and glimpses of God’s grace in action. The visit to Yogo Glory Academy brought the uplifting sight of a nearly completed administrative building, a testament to the collaborative support from Westbow, Hungry for Life, and other partners. From preschool to final grades, this school is empowering young students with education and faith, building them up as future leaders.
Welcomed by the students’ heartfelt song, we experienced the warmth and gratitude of this community firsthand. Touring the new dining hall, we prayed together, hoping for the provision of tables and chairs. Visiting classrooms, it was inspiring to see the students’ progress and the dedication of their teachers, while makeshift sports fields spoke of the resilience and resourcefulness of the community.
At the new Christ Glory Secondary School, we marveled at the classrooms, dorms, and dining hall—a tangible blessing for the local community, even as we prayed for timely completion.
Dick, Paul and Jason stayed behind to do a high level progress review of the project and work on a plan to complete the new high school as soon as possible.
The team returned to Yogo for some widow visits where we were brought face-to-face with incredible individuals like Maria, Helleta, Patricia, and Selena, each with stories of resilience, loss, and unwavering faith. At 88 and 92, Maria and Selena’s stories reminded us of the depth of love and strength that faith brings, even in times of hardship. Through shared scripture, songs, and prayers, each visit felt like a shared moment of hope and peace.
The day ended with a deep sense of grace, trust, and peace. Every moment—from classrooms to elders’ homes—illustrated God’s love and providence. This journey revealed blessings that transcend borders, binding us together in hope and faith.
