Lee steps into a new position as Hungry For Life’s Director of Development. She will be involved in all aspects of fundraising and development, but her initial focus is on operations and donor engagement. She joins the executive leadership team, and her commitment is to champion the vision of HFL while putting her attention on the financial health and growth of the organization.
Lee is leading HFL’s development department, strengthening HFL’s operations funding and engaging our extraordinary community of donors and supporters.

"My personal vision is to live by faith, be known by love, and be a voice of hope. It’s also my desire to unleash the potential in leaders: to realize transformation in themselves, on teams, and in communities. Those all come together in Hungry For Life. It’s a privilege to put my work energy toward HFL’s vision for thriving global communities and for supporting leaders to cultivate spiritual vibrancy and human flourishing."
Lee has followed HFL from the sidelines, with many mutual connections to Dave Blundell. She was not considering a job move out of leadership coaching and facilitation until she went to Cambodia in November 2023 on a trip partially facilitated by HFL.
Lee first travelled to the border of Cambodia and Thailand in 1988 to observe the medical work of CAMA Services, a small relief and development arm of the C&MA operating in a Khmer refugee camp. She was drawn to the people and culture of southeast Asia and the work of humanitarian relief and development, and she decided to take a university gap year in 1990-91 to work at that same refugee camp.
Fast forward thirty years, through her service on the board of Alongsiders International and her time as a pastor at Tenth Church, Lee had come to know HFL’s partners in Cambodia, and she was coaching Cambodian and international non-profit leaders. Furthermore, upon joining the Simple Churches network, she discovered her new church community had been partnering extensively with HFL’s work in the Ukraine. Lee experiences these connections as God’s mysterious and gracious direction toward this new role at HFL.
Lee comes to HFL from Novus Global, an executive coaching firm where she trained and grew her coaching and leadership facilitation work over the past 7 years. Prior to that, she was on pastoral staff at Tenth Church, where she helped launch their site in East Vancouver. She is currently a sessional instructor in the BA and MA Leadership programs at Trinity Western University GLOBAL. As well as participating in and leading trips to Thailand and Cambodia, Lee has travelled for work and ministry to India and Lebanon.
Lee is married to Mark, 31 years, and they have 3 adult children and a daughter-in law. Their favorite family holidays – next to time at Calling Lake, Alberta - include hiking the West Coast Trail, and camping, hiking, and climbing in Joshua Tree, California. Lee loves almost anything with words and hospitality: speaking, reading, writing and good conversations around any table.
