1 Corinthians 12:12
The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
It is a blessing to experience this verse today.
Kevin preached a great message on the account of Jesus meeting with Zacchaeus, tying it together with the parable of the pearl of great price. He ended it with the challenge that we all have to put our faith in Jesus.
Debbie, Lauri, Elaine and Lorne joined a grade 10 and then a grade 11 class to share about life experiences. They also had a fun time with pre school up to grade one children, with some balls, skipping ropes and letting them take turns making bubbles.
Kevin and I did some more jack hammering along the edge of the basketball court, then we went with Richard to help a crew putting in a concrete floor. They are building a new house for a lady with a special needs child.
Later we accompanied Richard and his wife to visit 3 Haitian families that live near by. We gave them each a food hamper and we were able to pray with them and Lorne was able to share a bit of his testimony and they accepted a Spanish gospel tract from him. Some of them asked for prayer for back pain, one family is praying for the mother to be able to come back from Haiti.
1 Corinthians 12:26-27
If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.
27. All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it.
