Today we met a brave young man named Swal Mayamba a 23 yr old with cancer. With all the struggles Swal confronts he is surrounded, and supported, by his family and community. Swal has hopes and dreams to learn the piano, he finds comfort and joy in music. He has a wide appreciation for all kinds of music from gospel to jazz. We wish Swal peace and happiness. Peace with all he has to confront in the future and happiness with his joy of music.

EVE met with the men and women from yesterday and continued the leadership discussions. One group session was held at Swal’s family home, the other session was at Pauline’s Ministry. Women’s health and plans for these new leaders were topics of discussion at both sessions. Singing and dancing was our farewell gift from these amazing new EVE leaders.
Spending time with the Andaba Ministries EVE team was a pleasure, they were really helpful with translation and support. They seem to anticipate our every need and helped. It was inspiring to see the work the Adana team is doing here in Uganda.

The bonus of this productive day was all the baby holding and hugs. We left both communities full of love, appreciation, and smiles. Aiiiiiiii was expressed by all.

We are looking forward to our next adventure in Mpiji.
