We began the day early, eager to soak in the rich history of this ancient city. With each step through its bustling streets, we were surrounded by the stunning sights: majestic mosques, underground cisterns, and the towering Egyptian obelisk. The city’s deep history, blending the old and new, was a vibrant reminder of the world’s timeless beauty.
The crisp morning air and brisk walk were the perfect remedy for jet lag, offering an energizing start to the day. After taking in the historic heart of the city, we crossed the Bosphorus Strait by boat, sailing into the Asian side of Istanbul. There, we enjoyed a delightful lunch with a view, savoring both the delicious cuisine and the peaceful scenery.
As we now head to Nairobi, our hearts are full of gratitude for this small but meaningful adventure in Istanbul. It reminded us how travel, even in brief moments, can offer new perspectives and unforgettable memories.
