Heading
The day started early with a 7 AM breakfast, setting the tone for something truly special. We picked up Bisschop Silas, a wonderful man, before heading to Yoga Glory Centre Academy.
At the elementary school, we worked together—fixing the barb wire fence to keep the children safe. The ladies painted beautiful, colorful pictures inside the classrooms, bringing warmth and joy. Meanwhile, some of us dug a ditch, ensuring that when heavy rains come, the water flows away safely.
After tea with Pastor Silas, he brought us to a farm where they grow food for their community. Parents who struggle to afford school fees work one day a week in exchange for their children’s education. It was humbling to see their dedication.
The children put on an incredible talent show, full of joy and laughter. We joined in, singing and playing with the preschoolers and young students. Then, under the shade of a mango tree, we shared a delicious lunch—simple, yet filled with love.
Later, we helped with the new tractor and tiller, offering tips to keep them running for years to come. Then came a special moment—taking 10 children to the market. We bought them new shoes, as some had none left to wear. They were also allowed to choose one item—some picked backpacks, others calculators. Their happiness on the ride back was priceless.
To end the day, we visited widows in their homes. One woman, with so little, offered us food from her own meal. Her gratitude, her kindness—it was overwhelming.
It was a day of giving, of learning, of love. And we left feeling deeply blessed.
