A refreshing day

We began our day by visiting Margaret, an 80 year old widow. She informed us that she had been very sick, and praised God for renewing her strength. He also answered her prayer for rescuing her son from his alcohol addiction, although through affliction. Margaret is working through the Catechism workbooks we gave her last year, which she is loving as it is helping her to understand God and how to live in Christ.

Next we went to visit 82 year old Rita. She looks after her two year old great grandson, whose mother left him when he was a baby. Rita asked us to pray that there would be peace amongst her family.

We continued on and attended a Ladies Spiritual Group. It was very uplifting to see the love the ladies have for the Lord, and their dependence on Him. They seek to encourage each other as they walk through life. They acknowledged the world is full of temptations, but stressed the importance of asking the Holy Spirit to lead and protect them. The ladies desire to live for Christ and minister to others. The genuine love for their Saviour was a joy to see.

We visited Dr Isaac's clinic. He is a great asset for us as he is the doctor that cares for the women and children that Voice of Hope supports. We left him a suitcase full of medical supplies that were donated and he greatly appreciated them.

Off to arise and shine school, we delivered the photos we took of the children yesterday. They were mesmerized by seeing a photo of themselves.

Having arrived back home we spent several hours packing bags for the students we hope to visit later this week. We also need to pack everything up as we are moving to Seje.

It has been such a joy to see God's work here in Kenya.
