Charlotte uses her administrative gifts to assist the executive team
Charlotte Watkins
“I have always had a burden on my heart to help people and HFL's vision to eradicate needless suffering ignites passion to see that happen. I feel called to use my God-given administrative skills to enable others and to bring change in the world.”
Being born and raised in Southern Alberta, Charlotte always knew she had a passion for travelling and helping people around the world, but didn't know how exactly that would take form. After working at her local church for a year, she set off to Perth, Australia for a 6-month course called a Discipleship Training School (DTS), with Youth With A Mission. Finding herself doing ministry in Nepal and Indonesia, sparked her heart for helping people unlike anything had before. Her 6-month DTS led to spending 3 years on staff at YWAM Perth, leading teams throughout the remote areas of Western Australia, discipling young students and using her administrative skills in the registrar's office. Returning to Canada at the end of 2021 left her searching for what long-term sustainable ministry in missions could look like, for deeper connection within the ministry, as well for her personally. She spent 2 summers serving at Southern Alberta Bible Camp, where God continually grew her leadership skills but continued to leave her longing for a place to put down roots and call home. She knew about HFL through her close friendship with the Blundell family, and the elements and vision that HFL holds were a perfect fit for Charlotte to join the team!
Outside of working at Hungry For Life, Charlotte loves spending time with friends and mentoring younger girls in her life. She can be found reading and loves being outside; specifically camping, downhill skiing with family, road trips, journaling and creative writing, time in her hammock and her favourite place, being around a campfire.
