The feeding centres are for those who have been identified as malnourished or at-risk children. They are fed a large, mid-day meal 3–4 times a week. UCI also provides health and nutritional training and simple agricultural techniques for the parents. UCI desires physical, mental, social and spiritual development for all the children in their communities.

Hope for widows

Thanks to support from Voice of Hope, United Christians International was able to host an event for a total of 198 widows from the surrounding communities in central Haiti.

Pastor Jean Jean began the event with scripture reading from Psalm 133 and a message about hope.  The testimonies shared by some of the widows were very well received.

Following the service, everyone enjoyed a meal that was served by UCI staff. Then food care packages were distributed to all.

“We love Dick and Maryanne’s story about Westbow/Voice of Hope and how God has grown this. But we always tell people about their family and family values and how they incorporate God into all parts of their lives.  We got to be at the Westeringhs’ house on Sunday when everyone came home, and we all read the Bible together—that was so special to us!”
