Our first full day in Kenya!
Today we had a women’s day and Pastor Eric preached on Joel 2. While the moms were at the speaker me (Heidi) and Linda enjoyed watching the kids. We got the bubbles out, skipping ropes, colouring pages, and a kids bible story book.
For lunch we made Nasi and all the women and kids stayed for lunch. We then got ready to go to widow visits. On these visits we read scripture, sang songs, and prayed together. We also gifted them some small things like flour, a calendar with all our individual picture in it, and some other small things.
During these visits one or two people would take their kids outside so there was not much distraction. They would play with bubbles, skipping ropes, take lots of photos, and play games. Each kid got a candy to enjoy! After our second visit we were all tired and went back to our home. We got a rain and thunder storm but that didn’t stop us from having fun together.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Margret.

Ladies Day
One of the Ladies Day highlights this year was the privilege of having pastor Eric Ngala,
founder the Reformed Theological Seminary of Bumala speak to our women. He described the
Bible Study (from Logos) booklets he had made available for our ladies spiritual groups he
covered the whole of the gospel so clearly and understandably. He also spoke of farming
God’s way
At the seminary he leads a program called “Applied Agriculture for God’s Glory’ which helps
groups of pastors to learn simple methods of producing crops and livestock to support their
families. We’re so thankful that God is providing good solid Biblical teaching for our ladies
spiritual group.
