The crops are in after the long rains and, thanks to a generous donation, the Njuba Grain Mill in Mpigi was able to make a bulk purchase of maize while prices were low. The maize will be ground and marketed at an increased cost back to businesses and families in the area.
Families who bring in their own maize for grinding will have the option of selling their flour at a markup and profiting from the portion of the crop that is over and above what they can use day to day.
In this way, the Njuba Grain Mill benefits not only the projects under Pastor Michael’s care but also helps benefit the community and its investment in the milling project.
