Education is notoriously poor in the remote and impoverished regions of Haiti where Lemuel works to make a difference by providing a quality education.

In 2012 Lemuel ministries began construction of the only school in the entire surrounding area. Many children in the community were either not going to school at all or traveling long distances to get at least some education. The 150 children who attend the K-9 school have been utilizing the non-completed school building...until recently, that is.

Recent funding has made it possible for Lemuel to not only complete the Elementary school building but also construct an adjacent Kindergarten to increase their capacity as demand continues to grow in the community!

Continued support keeps school doors open

The past few months have not been easy ones for Lemuel. The school leadership in Grand Diable is taxed with the loss of yet another teacher to the “Biden Program” which allows Haitians to enter the USA without going through the normal visa process. In addition to the busy-ness of Christmas break, and Manis preparing to leave Haiti to try to recover from illness, it has been a difficult time.

Thank you, however, so much for your support of the school.  Without that support, the school would not be able to keep the doors open. It has been one of the toughest years for the school since it opened.

Continued financial support means so much to the school leadership who have worked tirelessly to keep the school running in an exemplary way, to the teachers and staff who are so grateful for a stable job, to our students who are considered privileged to be able to attend our school, and to the parents who sacrifice so much to give their children the best education they can offer.
