Our international partner brought not only food but also a word of encouragement to help sustain families.
Approximately 300 packages were recently distributed to three different communities. Many families in these communities had previously provided for themselves by growing and selling their produce. Currently, however, there are few opportunities to sell their produce as the produce that is being brought into the country is less expensive to purchase than the local produce. This makes it very difficult for families to meet their financial needs from month to month.
