Ethiopia celebrated the Ethiopian new year on September 12. It was a great opportunity for Simple Acts of Kindness to pay extra attention to the street children and the homeless with a holiday lunch. SAK was able to provide 670 delicious meals to people who otherwise would not have a holiday celebration.
Tilahun’s response to the event? “It was so great! We had an amazing day! I shared my story with all the homeless and street children to inspire them to get off the street. They were so excited and inspired by my story. We had 24 volunteers serve the food and clean the hall. I and 6 of the other volunteers organized the program. It was amazing!"
