Julie & Geoff Beukema

Assistant to the Executive Director

Julie was born with a love for relationship. Wherever she is, you will find her chatting and laughing. In the fall of 2008, Julie went on a missions trip to the Ukraine that was facilitated by HFL. There her eyes were opened wide to the incredible need in the world around her. A big part of what she loved about the trip was the relational aspect. She loved to hug the widows, cry with them, laugh with them, pray with them and listen to them talk. While she was in the areas surrounding Nikopol both observing and being a part of helping the field partners in their ministry, Julie realized that she needed to give more of her time to help others on a regular basis when she returned home.

As it happened, help was needed in preparing for HFL's annual fundraiser auction, so she joined in with that. When the auction was done, Julie decided to stay on and has helped out wherever there is an administrative need. It soon became apparent that Dave (Executive Director) needed administrative support for his ever-growing and ever-changing job. Julie's abilities and skills made this a great fit for her, for Dave and for the organization as a whole. Julie is blessed to be able to be a part of the Hungry For Life team and is excited that God has given her a passion to be a part of changing lives globally.

Julie married Geoff in 1997, and they have four children.She enjoys playing piano, going for fast walks, and having time at home with her family.
